Kumarakom is one of the best destinations in Kerala. This was my second visit to Kumarakom. Full of lush greenery, beautiful skies, serene lake and magnificent properties amidst these hypnotic views, Kumarakom has always mesmerised me. This time our kids were to witness this splendid place.
Abad Whispering Palms was our perfect choice for two nights and three days to stay here in Kumarakom. Our rooms were overlooking the Wembanad Lake.
There are multiple categories of rooms. Some are lake facing, some garden and others had private pools. We were keen to have Lake View rooms. There was a garden outside the room. Trees were planted all around. It had a nice walkway to stroll around and enjoy the cool breeze.

A premium Houseboat was anchored by the shore so one could take both the experiences. SInce we had already experienced Houseboat in Alleppey, we chose to stay on land in Kumarakom.

To the left of our rooms was a swimming pool. After an open area by the pool, there were two fountains outside the restaurant – Granary which were another source of refreshment.

Every evening there used to be snack thela experience by the pool serving tea and lip smacking pakoras. The thela host would always play with tea and pur in cups from height which was always an interesting scene.

There was something at the property for all ages. No one could get bored there. Evenings time was consumed by local musicians stealing our hearts away to the tunes of old Bollywood and folk songs!
Separate area was there for billiards, table tennis, carrom board, chess.
Spa section is huge and is embraced by greenery.
Kids were charmed at the sight of beautiful birds and colourful flowers.
Abad Whispering Palms is a magnificent property providing warm hospitality. Food is served here with passion.
There is a variety of food in the buffet during breakfast and in the evening. Kassiri and sooji roll were outstanding and soothing on stomach.

The clear sky and unwinding cool air used to always refresh our senses. Overall, a great stay with money worth its value. Staff is very prompt and efficient.
