Although we all get highly excited for our trips be business or leisure. Adrenaline levels are high a day or two before taking off. While we are super excited, but at the same time, it is important for us to ensure we remain excited when we reach our dear destination.
One of the most important factor to remain active at the destination is our body clock. If body clock is not right, nothing can be achieved successfully. So, what I do to ensure my body clock adjusts to the destination almost immediately. I have been to United States of America at least 4 times. What did I do exactly to set myself for the trip ahead?
Top 5 tricks to combat Jet Lag
1. Always take full sleep and rest before leaving for your trip.
2. Whenever the flight is for 15-20 hours, sleep through the flight for in 3-4 hour slots 2-3 times
3. In order to keep yourself away from sleeping, drink coffee, see thriller movies on the plane, play video games. Keep sipping water as it will not only help you in being awake but also will keep you hydrated. To sleep, you can just relax and listen to soft music and get a blanket
4. This is the most important thing. As you reach the destination, even if you are sleepy but there is sunlight, have a coffee or tea and just get ready to get out to explore streets. Even though I felt sleepy upon reaching New York around afternoon, I have always settled down first and walked down the streets immediately.
5. Get your dear thing from home. It will give you a soothing effect and will help you sleep faster.

Great tips Nidhi. I seriously hate jet lag but looks like your post will help me in the near future. Thank you so much.
So true. If we can keep awake according to our routine body clock, jet lag is easier to handle. But mostly I succumb to sleep
Some really good tips Nidhi. I used to pride myself by saying that I don’t get jet lagged but have realised lately that I am suffering from it now. My recent trip to London had me jet lagged throughout, plus weather there makes you end your day early too. I am going to try these for sure.
Some amazing tips you’ve shared here. Will definitely try these for the next trip 🙂
