Why visit Vietnam ? Vietnam is a destination that is very beautiful with splendid views, timeless charm, breathtaking landscapes, jaw dropping sceneries and very hospitable and friendliest people. I did not want to miss a single opportunity to know more about the country. So, I was there at the Vietnam Roadshow held at Hotel Samrat in Delhi on 20th of April.

As I met with dignitaries of Vietnam, it was clear that people of the country were really hospitable with a warm smile. After getting through the full conference, I may visit Vietnam sooner than later.

First of all, H.E. Mr. Ton Sinh Thanh, Ambassador of Vietnam addressed the media and travel partners and elaborated on the beautiful beaches and sightseeing options at Vietnam. He welcomed Indian travellers to Vietnam assuring a memorable experience and passionate hospitality. He mentioned about the Culture Tourism, Leisure Tourism, City Tourism, Nature Tourism that is being promoted by Vietnam. He told us about the mix of Chinese and Japanese culture in Vietnam. His Excellency said, Vietnam has had 70,000 Indian travellers and the target is to increase it by 20%-30%. He said that there is no comparison to Vietnam as it is very very beautiful with incredibly picturesque islands, beaches, hills and with great hospitality services, it becomes an brilliant combination that is unique in the world.

Further elaborated Mr. Le Tuan Any, Deputy Director General  International Cooperation Department, Vietnam National Administration of Tourism about food tourism – famous dishes like Puo, Barhny, Chaca, Bunrieu and spring rolls . He said one can spend hours at the coast, relaxing, doing beach sports. City tourism would involve culture, shopping, performances, food, nightlife, meetings, incentives, and exhibitions. He said 19 new 5* hotels, 28 new 4* hotels and 60 new 3* hotels have opened up in Vietnam. Mr. Le said there would be no dirth of infrastructure or services when Indians visit Vietnam. Also he mentioned there are many Indian Temples and Indian restaurants so one can easily feel at home.

Mr. Jaideep Massand from Vietnam Airlines mentioned that Vietnam Airlines is a 4* airline since 1993. One can travel to Vietnam via Bangkok, Singapore or Kuala Lumpur.

There were more presentations by ICS Travel Group and Victoria Tours on services, tours and sight seeing options. Ben Thanh Tourists , DMC of Vietnam, Melia Hotels International , a spanish brand presented on their offerings and services.
