Snow covered buildings and snow in the air early morning

Salt Lake city is the most populous city in the state of Utah in U.S.A. It is a corridor of urban and sub urban development. Salt Lake City has got its name due to its proximity to Great Salt Lake which is the largest salt water lake in the western hemisphere. Myself shoving away snow from car

I happened to visit Salt Lake City in December for an official trip for just two days. Now, the time being just right to visit U.S, I thought this to be a perfect timing to write about Salt Lake City.

After snowfall in Salt Lake City

Since it was an official trip, I used to get free only in evenings. As I landed there from Phoenix, I settled in the hotel in few minutes and ventured out for a stroll.City was very planned and systematic, neat and clean. Houses were covered with slanting roofs which I just love. The appearance of the city was lovely. Soon, all of a sudden snowflakes started to fall from sky. I had never seen snow fall in my life being born and brought up in Delhi. After a while flakes were bigger. Then it was about to get dark so I decided to retreat in the hotel.

Next morning to my pleasant surprise, whole of city was snow covered and I was delighted at the sight. Our car was also covered with good amount of snow.

Next day, we had decided to go for some driving down the hills. Since it had snowed, our colleague suggested to drive down for few minutes towards hills. By the time we reached, it was already dark. There were no street lights as well. Suddenly, we spotted a wolf and decided to go back. I felt it was such a risk of lives!

I was happy to reach hotel at the right time and prepared for my next day’s flight to New York.

This visit was just a glimpse of Salt Lake City which has lured me to plan a re-visit. Next time, when I am travelling to Salt Lake City, will surely fish out at least three days to see beautiful Salt Lake City.

1. If you love hills, this is the destination to provide scenic views

2. Snow covered houses in a hill station is a beautiful sight in itself

3. To see scenic drives, attend concerts, zoos and gardens, skiing sports etc.
