The Sugati Beach Resort, rightly called the Eden of Paradise is the only hotel on the strategically located Ahmedpur – Mandvi – Ghoghla Beach. Spread over a sprawling 11,000 sq. meters, the hotel opens out straight onto the vast expanse of the deep blues of the sea. The beach is simply irresistible to all and sundry.

Ambiance

At the entrance next to reception is a grand area having swings for kids followed by swimming pools, gardens, swings for all ages where one can sit and relax looking at the majestic Arabian Sea.It has one of the largest free form swimming pools in Diu. Surrounded by swaying palm trees and lush tropical gardens, the stunning pool is beautifully landscaped and offers a spectacular view of the Arabian Sea. Its lagoon-style design offers privacy and yet ensures you are a part of all the action. The children’s pool is three feet in depth and conveniently located besides the main pool. Resort has gates to Arabian Sea at the Ghoghla Beach.The Ghoghla Beach is the largest and gentlest beach of Diu. The Golden sand beach undulates into the horizon while the Arabian Sea laps away at the edge as though imploring the sands to let it find its own peach. This beach is famous for a serene and beautiful sun – rise which can be enjoyed from the resort itself. Lounging on the beach or going for a dip in the Arabian Sea, it all can be done right from the resorts private beach.

The interiors of the resort include furnished rooms having huge French windows that are tactically constructed to give a feeling of being directly above the seawaters. Rooms were OK but its balconies were designed in a way to provide the serene view of Sea.

Water sports at Sugati Beach Resort

You can enjoy basking in the sun on the various lounge chairs by the pool, while your children enjoy various games in and around the pool. Newlyweds can also enjoy romantic conversations on the swings set in a serene setting under the palm trees by the pool. Activities such as volleyball and other outdoor sports can be organized at the poolside & in the lawn.

Our Experience at Sugati Beach Resort

We stayed for a day in Sugati Beach resort in our visit to Diu. We reached Diu from Verawal railway station by taxi which took us almost two hours of drive. As we reached the resort we were rejuvenated by the refreshing ambience. The kids immediately started playing in the sprawling lawns of the resort. After a quick delicious brunch, we played in swimming pool and had quality family time. After that we rested for a while and feeling refreshed, we moved on to site-seeing of Diu. We came back in the evening and enjoyed rest of the day at the resort itself.

Next day morning was a divine and blissful experience of sunrise at the backdrop of Arabian sea. It was so refreshing that I have written a special article on that. We then had our breakfast in the room’s balcony itself and relaxed. View from our balcony was beautiful. We could see the sea as far as our eyes could reach. After this we checked out and bid goodbye to the resort and moved on to next part of our journey- The Sasan gir forest.

How to reach Diu

There is a regular Jet Airways flight from Mumbai – Diu, and the Ahmedabad – Diu – Baroda highway has also made this place easily accessible.

I would recommend this resort to all people visiting Diu and who want some moments of eternity.
