We went to ‘The Project’ in the afternoon for lunch. It was June afternoon and hence was very hot.
How to reach The Project
Park your vehicle at Hauz Khas village parking and you will find a big board of ‘The Project’. Don’t park at Green Park.
Ambiance
Entering Deer Park provided a soothing effect from Sun’s heat.It was extremely hot. The walk way from entrance of Deer Park till ‘The Project’ was very green and nice. The Project is a restauraunt amidst the greenery of Deer Park. As we enterd the restaurant, it was very cool and clean. The Project is a casual dining restaurant. There are varied seating arrangements to provide different atmosphere to different needs of guests. At the entrance, there were sofas for people who wanted to dine in cushioned furniture, then there was furniture giving an antique look to the ambiance which matched grey walls of restaurant. There was ample cooling in the restaurant. I just loved it in the afternoon.
Big glass windows facing the Deer Park provided perfect ambiance for lunch. I even saw few deers there.
Food
First of all we ordered Peer and apple salad. Neatly and thin cut apples were the show of salad with lettuce as the bed. It was a delicious salad. Then we tasted Mozzarella Bombs which were awesome in taste. The cheese just melted in mouth and it had appropriate spices and was crispy. Post that I had Double Kebab which had minced mutton with a covering of minced chicken. Since this was new to my taste buds which are used to having only mutton seekh, I did not relish it much. But the presentation and chutney along was good. Next was the Soya tikka was good.
Vegetarian Pasta was mouthwatering with perfect quantity of olive oil and other spices.
We then had Roasted Organic Chicken which was served with potato cake and sauce. Chicken was hard to cut which they took the feedback. Then Roasted mushroom stuffed chicken was delicious. Roasted stuffed chicken was good to taste.
Vegetarian pizza was irresistible and Bbq chicken pizza was sweet which was a bit different to taste. The idea of sweet pizza was innovative but I missed salt and spices.
Grand finale was done by an enticing and mouthwatering warm chocolate Souffle Cake. I yearned for more with more bytes. Just loved the taste.
I would recommend The Project to people who love greenery and want to be a part of it while dining and of course for kids. Must haves would be Mozzarella bombs, pasta, pizza and chocolate souffle cake.
