Our Experience
I had earlier gone during my school days on a school outing. It being a nice experience, I decided to take kids as well. We went there in March. Our trip got more interesting as my sister joined us with her kids. Walking down from gate to the Planetarium was comfortable in pleasant weather. We bought the tickets from counter. Our show started at 1.30pm. Kids got excited to see the entrance of Nehru Planetarium. There was a display of a vintage telescope. It was followed by models showcasing various concepts like- light years, galaxies, Doppler effect, moon and science used at Jantar Mantar.
It was good to see India Astronaut’s Raskesh Sharma space shuttle with his space suit.
As we seated for the celestial show, kids got super excited. They were happy to see the unique ceiling.
Our show was to start at 1.30 pm. It was a nice seating arrangement.
We liked the show as it resolved some curiosity of kids. My kids enjoyed as they were able to see stars in the sky, planets, moon and breaking stars.
It was time for some quick refreshment. Canteen was next to the Planetarium.
After having refreshments, we headed for Children’s park. Overall a must visit at least twice.
