I had gone to Karma Chalets with my immediate bigger family. We had all ages in the group. This was my second visit to Karma Lakelands. In our last visit we had stayed at a luxury villa in Karma Lakelandss. This time we wanted to enjoy Karma Chalets which is a boutique hotel in Karma Lakelands. I even convinced my family members to stay in Karma Chalets. We had a one night and two days stay.
Karma Chalets is in sector 80 Gurgaon. As soon as you enter the premises, green belt welcomes you embracing the clean vicinity and fresh air.
One could feel the cooler temperature which would be lesser by 1º-2ºC being green.
As we crossed the way to chalets, we witnessed beautiful flowers, birds, butterflies, peacocks , deers, Neelgai, Francolin( Teetar in hindi) on the route. All of us were super excited to enter the area.
Karma Chalets are surrounded with greenery on the front and the back with beautiful interiors and all the modern amenities. In the front garden, there is a personal sit out space where a nice seating arrangement is provided along with swing.
The backyard also has a nice seating arrangement with small kitchen garden providing freshness.
We stayed at Eagle’s Perch. As you enter the two room villa, first of all, the drawing dining set up will greet you with contemporary interiors.
There is an open kitchenette with a bar like slab, high stools, wash basin and all basic requirements for a running kitchen including a refrigerator, wash basin, cutlery.
Little living room has a sofa with side tables and center tables, more stools along with an LED TV and a phone. Optimum utilization of space has been done. There is a washroom and a flight of stairs leading to two rooms.
Each room has its own private balcony and big bathrooms. Both rooms were well lit and had all the amenities.
Activities at Karma Chalets
Karma Lakelands offers a plethora of unrivaled activities. These activities can be enjoyed by guests of Karma Chalets as well. There is so much to do there. One can pick up cycles and roam around the whole area cycling. Its lovely to ride a bi-cycle there in the greenery and fresh air. Badminton court , volleyball, Basket ball are there in the greens.
All of us played squash. We must have spent hours and hours playing squash and table tennis.
Kids also played carrom board. There is a big walking chess by the restaurant – ‘Under The Neem‘ which kids played all the time while dining. There were hammocks laid around the green belt at different places. Kids also enjoyed trampoline. Swimming pool was another attraction.
There is an artificial lake surrounding the whole Golf Course. It is regularly cleaned. We took a round of the Golf Course and spotted deers, fox and a specific animal which appeared so healthy.
They seemed to be a hybrid of Neelgai and horse.
Peacocks were roaming around.
Fox
There is a poultry farm where cocks and hens are kept. Kids and even elder seniors spent a lot of time there.
I am going to put a separate video to showcase how much we all enjoyed there.
Rabbits are also there. My niece and younger son even touched them. There was a place for cattle. Bee farming was also being done there.
We saw a unique concept where there were eco bricks used to create a shelter. What I observed was that the plastic bottles were stuffed densely with used wrappers and other plastic materials. Then they were laid with cement instead of bricks. I loved this idea.
I mean, can you imagine a Hospitality Organization to do so much for the nature as well as guests. Both the restaurants- ‘Under The Neem’ and ‘ On Kourse’ have a seasonal menu which gets its raw materials from organic farm products following the concept of ‘Farm To Table’. One can walk down the kitchen gardens and have a look at Papaya trees, cauliflower gardens, mint, coriander and so much more.
I must say a lot of planning and strategizing goes in ensuring eco friendliness. Till now they have planted trees over 2,00,00 trees. Bee farming is being done keeping in mind that bees are the best pollinators in the planet.
Day care for staff members and for less privileged people in the surrounding areas is being taken care by the members and volunteers. To know more, please click check initiatives by Karma Lakelands
One must plan for two nights stay there. First day you will take to simply enjoy the premises along with all the activities. Younger kids can enjoy in the area dedicated to their activities.
Second day you can enjoy the nine hole Golf Course and its greenery and landscaping all around while enjoying view of wild animals. The third day, just sit back and relax in the sit outs doing nothing and simply gazing.
A highly recommended property for all ages. A must must experience- Karma Chalets
