On the second day of our trip in Haridwar, we checked in this nice and decent property- SRS Lakshya. This property was on the highway of Delhi Haridwar just 15 minutes away from Har Ki Pauri. Singh Ghat is very near to this property.
It had a proper drive way and a decent entrance. There were plants at the beginning of the drive way which was slopy. We parked our car and the person came to pick our luggage. Reaching this property was a great breather.
We entered the hotel. It was a glassy entrance. Staff at the reception was courteous.
Seating arrangement was different at the reception. Sofas were of entangeled cane and gave an exotic look. Sofas were quiet private. Anybody could easily work on the laptop without getting disturbed on the sofa.
On the other side of the wall, there were red coloured sofas.
It seemed that the hotel was fairly new. There was a little fengshui and gift shop at the right having variety of gift items. All items like tortoise, garlands, Buddha Ji statue etc were very attractive.
Area at reception was quiet open. Kids started playing there. Staff was attentive towards them. They were running from one end to other.
Upon going further, Aroma restaurant welcomed us. We were in a hurry to reach our room as we were too tired from our visit in Haridwar.
At the entrance of the lift, soothing music was playing. Finally we reached our room which was spotless clean.
Beds were tidy and sheets properly laid down. There was everything basic we needed. Toiletries in the washrooms, working phone, refrigerator, tea/coffee maker, WiFi connection and good air conditioner and last but not the least, an LCD.
Windows had a nice view
We rested for a while and ordered the few snacks. Finger chips and cutlets. They were not spicy. Cutlets were bit oily but full of vegetables. Then we had tea.
We slept like a baby.
Next morning, we had our sumptuous complimentary breakfast. It was mouth watering. Restaurant was neat and clean. Sitting arrangement was nice. In one section, there were tables on one side and buffet on the left. Other section had tables on both sides.
Service was quick. Buffet had Idli Sambhar, upma, sandwiches, cutlets, juice, milk , corn flakes, bread butter jam, fruits. Sambhar was good as it was bland and non oily, upma was good but not better than the one at Residency hotel in Mumbai. Fruits were fresh and had Papaya, water melon and musk melon.
We had meal to the full and started off with our trip to Rishikesh.
After coming back from Rishikesh, we had little snacks – Hakka noodles with Manchurian and rice dal. It was an awkward combination but that was the only thing available at 5pm. Since we were hungry, could not find any flaw in anything.
In the evening, we had okra and dal makhani. Okra was made with tomatoes and onion gravy with garlic. It was fantabulous. Dal Makhani was like the common we get in Delhi.
Room service was also prompt. We had no complaints in this hotel. Our window had a nice view.
Early in the morning, we had to leave for Delhi. So, settled the bills at night.
Everything went smooth and comfortable.
I would recommend this property to anyone who wants to stay away from the hussle bussle of Haridwar.
