Our experience at Dunn Perk Manor
As we landed in the hotel, warm and courteous staff welcomed us with juices. They were patient enough to let us explore various rooms so we get a room of our choice. All rooms had balconies overlooking valley. We finally choose a room on the second floor. It was a nicely done up room with all modern amenities in it like coffee maker, refrigerator , LCD, phone etc. Beds were nicely laid. Bathroom was also neat and clean and had our much awaited toiletries.
After relaxing for a while we ordered crumbled eggs, tea and French fries. Food was awesome.
In the evening, we headed to gymn which was well equipped and new machines. We loved being there for at least 45 minutes. Our kids were attracted to re creation area which had all toys to their liking for instance carrom board, cards, life game, chess. Billiards for adults was also there.
After enjoying the activities, it was time to see the sunset at the terrace. What a divine hour was that! Terrace was had a bit dusty furniture which they cleaned when we provided them feedback.
In the evening, food was delicious. We had Paneer Lababdar and chicken. Boneless chicken was not available. Next morning, we had our sumptuous breakfast of stuffed roties which was lip smacking specially with mouthwatering curd. Curd needs a special mention as it was really good.
Afternoon meal had paneer lababdar again with mixed vegetables. Paneer Lababdar was outstanding again. We all relished it. Manchurian was not available so we didn’t take any chance with different dishes like pasta. Will surely try it next time probably.
It was really hot in the afternoon but air conditioning was not functional at that time. As per hotel authorities, it would be functional starting June,2015. WiFi was not available as well.
We went for a little drive towards Nahan which had a beautiful view. Snacks in the evening were French fries. In the evening, roof top terrace looked beautiful with lights on. A perfect place to enjoy dinner at tables laid strategically on the floor with lights and nice interiors. We enjoyed every moment at the terrace.
Overall, it was a great stay, good food and courteous service. A boutique hotel for both personal trips and professional conferences etc.
