I have always been fascinated by toy trains due to their extremely close proximity to nature or to town in which they travel and also their interiors and service. While enjoying nature’s beauty one gets to know about general lifestyle in the town.
Darjeeling Toy Train
I consider myself lucky to have travelled in Toy train to Shimla several times. While planning our trip to Darjeeling, we always had two India movie songs in our minds – ‘Mere sapnon ki Rani kab aayegi tu…’ and ‘Kasto Maza hai railayi Ma…’
Train passing by houses
So, we started our trip to Darjeeling with full excitement to see its nature’s beauty and also to enjoy the train. However, once we reached Darjeeling, we realized that the time was limited and that we had to take tickets prior and plan accordingly. Due to less time at hand, we could not board the train but ensured to follow it for a while to admire its beauty.
Ghum Station
So, we followed it for almost half an hour and loved its sound and engine releasing fumes etc. Kids were thrilled to see the train and they were memories of lifetime.

I would highly recommend you to experience the Darjeeling Toy Train. Plan your schedule so that the experience is possible.
