We attended Gourmet High Street Food and Wine Festival at Epicenter, Apparel house in Gurgaon powered by Hindustan Times.
The venue was bustling with foodies and enterpreneurs. It was a vibrant atmosphere.
Many stalls of food equipments and food were luring people.I wondered there is so much to do with food and its pre processing and post processing accessories.
At the entrance there was big stall of waffle.
People had stalls of equipments like toasters, grillers, coffee makers etc.
There was an interesting stall of Chef’s Basket which had a unique concept of selling recipies along with all the requisite amount of raw material related to it in semi cooked form, sauces and spices etc. This was an impressive way to prepare one time dish without hunting for ingredients or worrying about wastage of excessive stuff.
Another stall of Cook Gourmet had an interesting business concept of publishing 6 recipies in a week. Anybody who wants to prepare a dish can request for the same. It would be delivered at the doorstep along with recepie and all the raw and semi cooked material.
Stalls of ‘Puck’, ‘Bachelor’ foods etc were presenting samples to taste. Small seating arrangements were done for dining there for snacks both veg and non veg.
A lady was selling home made chocolates, few people had ventured in a company ‘Dippers’ selling sauces like Mushroom sauce, chicken sauce and beacon sauce. It was amazing to see incredible ideas being executed in India. We got a chance to meet few passionate start up entrepreneurs all radiating positive vibes creating excitement in the venue about their businesses.
It was time for us to attend session of Master Chef Sara Todd Australian contestant. Sara prepared Iced Nougat for us. It was delicious. Sara had great fan following. The room was full. People and specially kids asked many questions. I could see them taking notes from Sara. Chef Saransh Goila was anchoring the show and helping Chef Sara in the dish preparation. I got a chance to click with Chef Sara and Chef Kunal Kapoor.
We could see that session of ‘Sipping Turf’ was also full. People had come in great numbers to attend this festival.
Clearly it was a huge success. There can be more of such sessions. Thanks to Gourmet High Street Gurgaon’s First International Food and Drink Festival.
