Jungle Jamboree, as the name suggests is a restaurant with unique themes- Mystic Jungle, Aqua cave, Hunters Lodge, sky garden and kid’s zone. We visited this restaurant to resolve the curiosity of its name.
It is in Gold Souk Mall on the second floor in Gurgaon and is clearly visible from the ground floor.
Reaching this place was not a problem including the parking. We started from Delhi and reached in just 45 minutes.
We were welcomed with a warm smile. Soon the Manager greeted us.
Ambiance
As we entered the restaurant, first curiosity of jungle theme was solved.
Green Jungle
The dining area was totally green with Lions family murals on the right wall and two Girrafes neck murals on left with aquarium beneath. There was noise of birds chirping. The area was very dimly lit to give the feel of a jungle. It was an excellent ambiance with pebble like flooring and grass like seats with wooden tables. Kids were jumping to see aquarium, Girrafes and Lions. My elder one was amazed to see the full family of lions.
Blue Aqua world
To the left of Jungle area was aqua dining. My younger one called it ‘ Blue Duniya’ meaning ‘Blue world’. I liked the new name. Adding to their excitement was a mermaid effigy in this area. They got scared to see the life size half female and half fish and ran away from there.
It clearly showed lot of strategic thinking behind this amazing ambiance.
Hunters Lodge
Diagonally opposite to acqua dining was another interesting ambiance, Hunters Lodge. This area was all wooden, hence its name. It had a seating capacity of 20-40 people.
7 Course Meal
This restaurant boasts of being first Indian restaurant offering seven course meal with drinks in each course. A true value for money.
We decided to dine in jungle area. Soon we were offered Indian chaat papdi, pasta salad, pita bread with toppings of curd and cucumber, fruit skewers and Aam panna. Papdi was good. The idea of cucumber and curd on pita bread was innovative but it did not lure my taste buds. Aam panna was good. As time passed by , we were offered course by course delicacies of Italian, Continental and Indian Cuisines.
All drinks in 7 courses were refreshing.By the time we reached the fourth course, we were already full. Staff offered us a walk in the sky garden upstairs to digest a bit so that we could enjoy rest of 3 courses.
Pasta in first course was with an extra taste of sauce which was a bit different. Paneer Lababdar, Hydrabadi Dum Biryani and vegetable noodles were outstanding and mouth watering. Even though I was full but could not resist eating biryani. Thanks to chef, Rohit.
We started combining courses. Best way is to start combining delicacies from the beginning as one cannot eat all the snacks and main course items. Drinks of course are all drinkable as one eats through. Amongst desserts, Paan ice cream and Gulab Jamuns were a hit.
One must go empty stomach and take out at least three hours to enjoy this royal meal with excellent ambiance.
Service
Staff was proactive to our needs. They were changing our plates tirelessly after every course. They provided impeccable service with smile. Since my kids were jumping around and even going out of the restaurant, staff looked after them to ensure we were comfortable.
As the courses were coming one after the other, to avoid overlap and better appreciate one course at a time, we provided feedback to wait for 10 minutes after every course. This was attended to immediately.
Manager was personally attending guests in the restaurant. We could see personal touch in the overall experience.
Suddenly, a magician appeared to entertain kids. They enjoyed his tricks and actively participated in magic.
Kids zone and Sky Garden
In between the meals, we came upstairs to get a feel of Sky Garden and Kids Zone. As expected, it was a nice view and good, neat and clean area for kids play. Preparation of a party was going on due to which this area seemed busy.
Overall, it was an amazing time spent at this place of great ambiance. If one gives importance to Ambiance, then one must visit this restaurant in Gurgaon.
