I have been visiting Salasar Balaji since last two years but have never been able to find a resort near Salasar Balaji where I could stay with my family. Normally we love to stay in resorts as they have ample activities and massive space to play for kids and all modern amenities in rooms and resort. This time I was able to find Anand Bagh Resort and Spa by Ananta online. This is currently the only resort near Salasar Balaji. I read about the property on their website and its reviews. Their rooms and amenities mentioned online were true to their words.
Aura at Anand Bagh Resort and Spa, the only resort near Salasar Balaji
As I entered the resort it was a long driveway. We reached the reception. Big palm trees welcomed us.
Sprawling lawns were looking up to the sky. Resort was lush green. The whole view was peaceful and serene. Cool breeze was blowing.
There were Havelis surrounding the gardens. The exterior of Havelis had nicely added to the picture perfect of Anand Bagh Resorts and Spa by Ananta. At night these havelis lit up beautifully adorning the whole campus. There were two swimming pools out of which one was for kids.
Reception was nicely done up. They had strategically used space to allow ample light and it looked good. There was a restaurant named Haveli by the reception. Tables were spaced enough to provide adequate social distancing and also privacy. Spa was there along with steam room which gave calming vibes. There was a place for rain dance. Isn’t it cool?
Play area for kids had swings and also a dedicated room for board games and other indoor games. Kids were very happy to be there.
I was so happy to find this beautiful place near Salasar Balaji temple. This resort is hardly 10 minutes away from there.
Our room
Our room was part of Ramgarh Haveli. I saw a haveli for the first time. It was a nice concept.
At the entrance there was an open space followed by a passage leading to open to sky place or veranda with a planter in the centre. This was perfect in terms of vaastu also. There were four rooms around the veranda.
Our room was big and spacious. It had a balcony overlooking gardens. There were all the modern amenities in the room including tea coffee maker, phone, refrigerator, AC and the bathroom too was perfect. It was a nice decor with soothing colour combination.
Food at Haveli Restaurant
Food at Haveli restaurant delicious. The restaurant served continental as well as North Indian food. We had breakfast and dinner there. At dinner we had Hakka noodles, Manchurian, Honey Chilli Paneer, Paneer Makhani. Hakka noodles were so nicely presented that our appetite increased to double and we had it twice. Thanks to the chef. His passion was clearly visible in taste and the plating.
Look at the lamp. I was amazed at Chef’s skills for tomato lamp.
Honey chilli paneer was kid’s favourite.
Paneer Makhani with naan was mouth-watering. In the morning, we had Poha, pakoras , paranthas with fruits.
Each and every dish was prepared with perfect taste and spices. They were enticingly presented. We also got some sandwiches and paranthas packed. We enjoyed our meals there.
Overall, it was a great time spent at the resort. As we keep visiting Salasar Balaji, this resort is going to be our stop over every time we visit there. This being the only resort at Salasar has an edge for resort lovers.
Service
We were well attended at the property. Be it room service, restaurant, pool , play area or anything, we were taken good care of.
Highly recommended.

Anand Bagh Resort looks quite grand a cool place to stay. I was quite happy to see the rooms, they are quite airy and spacious. It is good to know that they have play area dedicated for kids which many resorts do not have. Looks like a good property.
It’s really good to know about this resort l. I went to Salasar in 2001. And what a journey it was. If I visit again, then this can be a good place to stay and explore that part of Rajasthan.
The Anand Bagh Resort by Ananta seems to be a nice and very spacious resort to spend quality time with family. The food at the Haveli Restaurant too looks really sumptuous. All in all the place promise a nice stay experience.
The Anand Bagh resort looks like an amazing one situated in the Middle East country. The outdoor gives me the feeling of some sort of foreign country. Really wonderful property with the beautiful restaurant. Would love to explore some day.
