Delhi Daredevils@JW Marriott, Aerocity

The Delhi Daredevils team was in Delhi for their match against Rajasthan Royals in IPL 2015. I happened to be a part of a small get together in the evening at J.W.Marriot hotel, Aerocity , to welcome the team.

It was a closed affair with a few selected guests and people from media. As we reached the hotel , we were already on a high to meet our home team members. As we entered the party , we were elated as we saw players around us. They were all in Blue coloured theme with signature Daredevils T shirts. It was an amazing feeling to interact with players. They were quietly enjoying the evening and discussing the game.

There were cricket enthusiasts and a few people from media who were talking to players.

As we moved around we saw Imran Tahir,Amit Mishra, CM Gautam on a table and Shreyas Iyer, K K Jiyaz, Alfonso Thomas, Jaydev Unadkat, D.J. MuthuswamyThey obliged us with a picture with them. It was good to talk to them and we wished them goodluck for the next match.

Then Zahir Khan entered and it was amazing to see him in person.

Then Travis Head , Markus Stoinis and Nathan Coulter- Nile were chatting and having a nice time. Albie Morkal was sitting and talking to his team mates.

We then went to lounge and had a small chat with J.P.Duminy . He was relaxing and we spent some time with him as well.

This was a new experience for me since I had never seen cricketers so closely. They actually looked like a team and were enjoying the quiet evening. The hotel staff was extremely courteous and service was up to the mark.

It was indeed a memorable experience.
