As a part of our travel plans, we had two days stay at Hotel Landmark in Pokhara. It boasted of Authentic Indian cuisine and outstanding views of Phewa / Feva lake , both the facts turned out to be true upon arriving there.
Ambiance
Intrestingly , It’s a 3 star property located in vicinity of Feva lake. Reception had a woodden appeal which was cozy . The hotel had dark pinkish and woodden ambiance all over. It had two restaurants, 5 floors, buildings and terraces to it. Property had two three entrances one from the restaurant and others were from buildings.
Our room
The manager and staff of the hotel were good and that made me comfortable. Had to request the manager to give us a room with good view on the top floor. Most of the hotels do not have lifts , still revellers who are staying should go in for a room on a higher floor for a good view. The room we were staying was at fifth floor. Though the room was not very outstanding but , I liked the ambience of its restaurant and the terrace outside our room. As per the Manager, hotel would soon have a renovated look.
The star attraction was panoramic view of Feva lake greeting us on one hand and gigantic Annapurna mountains welcoming us on the other hand.
After checking in we had our lunch at the rooftop and saw an amazing sunset from our room only. The Annapurna II peak was glowing orange and I experienced an inner peace. Peak Machchapuchchhre was looking like an Emperor of the nature there.
We had our own private mini restaurant on the rooftop as we had a nice meal after a tiring journey.
To our excitement, some paragliders were flying past above our hotel. It was an amazing experience.
Since we had to go for sunrise at Sarangkot, the very next morning, we all woke up early and hotel’s private vehicle took us to the view point. The driver was courteous. Upon coming back we were served tea at 6 AM.
Around the hotel
During the day we went for sightseeing and for a long walk along main road in pokhra in the evening. It was a memorable walk as revelers from different cultures were enjoying. We stopped over at multiple places and bought momentos and gifts. We enquired about various adventure sports and other activities and saw their video clips as well.
We then returned back to our hotel and had sumptuous dinner with impeccable service at “Hungry eyes” Restaurant with music and traditional dance.
Overall it was a pleasant experience. I would like to tell all that even though Hotel is above average , It’s vicinity to the most happening place in Pokhra , service , and above all the magnificient view it offers, makes it a great place to stay in Pokhara.
