In the interiors of Delhi, bang opposite to Gargi College, Diggin Cafe was easy to find. Thanks to GPS system. Parking was not a problem at all.
Ambiance
As we saw from the car, this cafe looked awesome with square wooden panes and greenery hovering it. There were wooden benches and a nice seating arrangement. Crowd appeared to have a gala time there. Romantic couples were making the place happening. Beautifully decorated with plants, lights, wooden benches, and vintage British furniture, Diggin Cafe is a perfect place for spending time with loved ones.
There are two floors at Diggin Cafe – Ground and first. Both the floors had long hanging big spherical lights giving the European touch. At the ground floor, there are some tables on the right and jaletos and breads counter etc on the left. In the window as well, some cushions are placed to create a nice seating. The space has been optimally used in an innovative way. Lots of homemade breads and buns were there. They looked so fancy.
The Manager welcomed us and we went on to sit on the first floor. Even the staircase style was nice with planters all over. Since our visit was around Diwali, lights were adding to the decor.
We already knew that the experience is going to be nice. As we reached the open air restaurant, number of couples were having a nice time.
Food
We secured a table and ordered Banana strawberry shake and coffee brownie smoothie. Both were awsome in taste. Then, we ordered Diggin’s Signature Ravioli Pasta. This was homemade Ravioli ( like momos) stuffed with mixture of spinach, broccoli , ricotta cheese cooked in arrablata sauce. What a taste it was. All the spices and cheese were optimal. Both of us liked it. Although my husband is not very fond of Pasta but he loved this one.
It was time for Pizza which is their speciality. Dough is fresdhly made and is grilled in wood oven. It is grilled on real wood and is a thin crust. No electricity is used for grilling.
We ordered Chicken and Jalapeño pizza. It was cooked in wooden oven. The base is home made and pizza Crust was very thin. Pizza had good cheese but chicken pieces were moderate. They were not present till the last byte.
Another dish, Chicken Citrus Burger was super tasty and juicy. I liked every bite of it. Fresh lime soda that we ordered later was OK. It had little sugar and salt. I could have added more but felt lazy as I was too full.
Last but not the least, Jaletos. Our host got all samplers for us. So nice of her. We both loved Lime Grass Jaleto, Strawberry Cheesecake and Strawberry Jaleto. I also liked Bluberry Cheesecake.
Kitchen
Kitchen appeared neat and clean. They had kept it transparent.
Service
Service was impeccable and incomparable. Our host was proactive, prompt and courteous. She ensured that we enjoy not only the meal but also the overall experience.
Overall, a great place to spend time. I will visit again and recommend this restaurant to all my friends.
