Devi’s falls in Pokhara is a little waterfall in Kaski district.

This waterfall gets water from dam of Phewa lake. It is interesting to know that this is an underground waterfall. In Nepali, it is also called Patale Chango which means underground falls. The water passes through the natural tunnel. This water passes through the Gupteshwar Mahadev cave. If you visit Devis falls, you must also visit this cave to conquer some if the curiosity of this strange falls.

As you enter, there is a big model of snow covered Himalayas. Then see some mist in the air which of course comes from falls.

Moving further, there is greenery all around. Little elevated path to enable tourists see the closeup of falls.

At the entrance you will meet up with family of Lord Shiva.

You will see Gush of water splashing on a rock. This water gets accumulated in some area which is like a small tunnel in the mountain.

The fall is not big but generates curiosity about where the whole water vanishes. Spend some time there.

Outside the fall, there is a little wish pool of Goddess Manakamna Bhagwati.

Towards the end there was a little Buddha temple.

This location takes maximum half an hour to explore unless you want to laze around just gazing at the fall.

How to reach Devi’s falls

Being in Pokhara, one can go by car or taxi.

Where to shop

Outside the falls, there were many small vendors selling little gift items like garlands, show pieces, Rudraksh etc.

Where to eat

There are ample options near Devi’s fall. Many restaurants in Pokhara like Moon dance, Hungry eye, Once upon a time, Punjabi vegetarian, Lemon Tree etc are there.
